Making money on the Internet is the number 1 choice for most people looking to earn extra income.

Which is why the internet is "awash" with sites and ebooks on how you can start your own business and earn your millions in months if not days.

But beware of false promises or unrealistic expectations - like any other business there is a "learning curve".  A period where you will need to try different methods, see what works and what doesn't. On top of that you will probably need to spend some money on websites, advertising, etc.

Most peoples first thought on making money on the internet is ebay (mentioned in method 3 below) but there are very many other ways of earning extra cash.

By far the 2 most popular (and easiest) methods are :

1. Adwords

If you look on this page you will see advertisements by Google. If you have a website or blog they are very easy to incorporate and will make you money all day long.  You will get paid money every time someone clicks on them and Google try to make sure they are linked to the content of your site.

It is probably the simplest and easiest way of making money.  However the amount you will get paid per advertisement is very little and you will need a lot of visitors to get a reasonable income.

2. Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing simply means that you direct a person to someone else's site, and if they then buy you get paid money. (commission).

The big advantage is that you don't need to spend any money on products, or stock, or even deal with customers.

Some of the world's largest businesses use this method and it's a well established way of making money.

By far the easiest way of getting started is to get one of the many manuals. A lot of them are very similar (there is only so much you can say about affiliate marketing) for example if you look at The Rich Jerk you will see the type of manual.

The downside is that the market is saturated and it can be quite difficult to make money - personally we prefer the advantage of having a business in a growing market (and the support you get from herbalife).
